With Backgammon Live, you have the opportunity to play online backgammon in high definition on your iPad. You can also enjoy playing on your iPhone and iPod Touch. Please note that an internet connection is required.

Backgammon Live allows you to engage in internet backgammon games, matches, and tournaments. Additionally, you can chat with other players, compete against them, and make new friends.

One of the notable features of Backgammon Live Online is that it automatically reconnects you in the event of an internet disconnection. It is compatible with both WIFI and non-WIFI connections, including 3G.

In terms of gameplay, you have the option to play single and multi-point backgammon matches. You can invite other players to join or respond to invitations from them. Furthermore, you can email your games to yourself for further analysis.

However, similar to chess, skilled backgammon players consistently win games against novices. Backgammon requires more than sheer luck; it demands a wealth of skill beyond simply rolling the dice and mindlessly moving checkers around the board.

It is worth noting the distinction between "gammon" and "backgammon" in backgammon matches. A gammon occurs when a player wins a completed game without their opponent having borne off any checkers. This results in the winner receiving double the value of the doubling cube. In contrast, a backgammon occurs when a player wins a completed game while their opponent still has one or more checkers on the bar or in the winner's home board. A backgammon entails the winner receiving three times the value of the doubling cube.
